I’ve been noticing a subtle buzz about the prospect of two throw-back hues possibly creeping back into home trends….
PEACH and MINT!!!
Michelle Zakko wrote a fab post a few weeks ago exploring the conversation about peach, and the response seemed to be a little “meh” to say the least. Is it time for these 1950′s ice cream shop hues to re-emerge into our trendy interiors? And if so, what other colours will they mingle with to form a new, fresh palette?
Well, I’ve got to say…I was on the fence about mint until I stumbled upon this stunning collection of hand forged pottery pieces by KaroArt (quirky and creative ceramics from Ireland) on Etsy.
I’m not sure if it’s the organic shape, the artisinal detail or the colour itself that caught my eye (or a combination of all three), but this was the first time that I was truly swooning over mint!
A quick peek deeper into KaroArt’s collection revealed a stunning array of equally elegant variation of mint, green, and everything in between.
Trends are usually about taking baby steps…introducing a “taste” of a new hue into your home, and one of these bowls would be the perfect way to try out a taste of mint. Now, the big question is…would you put mint on your walls?
Well, after seeing these stunning spaces, I would!!! How about you???

I am a huge fan of mint green! Our bathroom is a pretty shade of mint. Love, love the images of it with gold and coral.
I am not so sure about mint… most of the combos above that I actually like have more of a turquoise to them… like the one with the violet. Maybe I don’t like mint because my mom painted my bedroom that color.. and I wanted more of a yellow-green! I was stuck with it for a long time.

My family always prefers green mint chocolate chip ice cream over the white kind. It must be our preference for the color because I am pretty certain they taste the same. Leigh-Anne, you’ve chosen beautiful examples of mint/pistachio/aqua.
I can dig the mint, and some shades of peach, but certainly not mint and peach together. I grew up in South Florida – and minty-blue-teal was mixed with peach-pink so much I have a permanent aversion to it. On their own, or in other combinations as you have here are not a problem!
I love showing client the CSP colors, what you sees is what you get – we all love that!
