Looking for the WOW factor? A Graphic Painted Floor Can Make the Room.

The Original Floor
Painted floors add pattern and color, can transform the scale of a room and conceal the imperfections of the most inferior floors. The secret is in the planning. Even the most basic design will require some rudimentary math, so keep the design simple, work out your pattern to scale on graph paper, and use a stencil if you are not confident in your taping skills!
Here are the four options:
1. Classic Black & White Checkerboard Floor:

2 Subtle White Checkerboard Floor
3. Dare to Be Bold Checkerboard Floor

iam very interested in painted floors ..
I like the original floor the best. I love black and white checkerboard, but this one looks brown and white.
Would this work on a concrete basement floor. Any ideas for that?
I am also curious on how this could be done on concrete. i pulled my carpet out of my family room and I have a concrete (unsealed) floor that I want to paint.
I am also interested in knowing whether or not this would work on a concrete basement floor.
